We have four houses in our school. The names of these houses are based on the famous characters of great epic Mahabharata. House system in our school was done with the objective of nurturing the talent of each student and to develop them to be leaders in their respective areas. The system also provides platform to students to showcase their talent, skill and qualities and creates a bond of to be the part .This all motivated us to develop the wonderful House System. These four houses Karan, Arjun, Bhishma and Drona inculcate the skills mainlyHonesty, Courage & Confidence, compassion and determination,acquiring knowledge and goal oriented.Each house is headed by one boy and one girl 'House caption' and a member of staff as a 'HouseIn charge'. Throughout the year number of co-curricular activities, competitions, games and sports are organized and points are awarded to houses; at the end of the year the winner house is declared on the basis of the awarded points.
Bhishma is one of the central characters of the Mahabharata. Bhishma was born as Devevrata
and is the grand sire of the heros and villans of the epic mahabharata.
We should learn from Bhishma the quality of drirhapratigya (firm resolution) that is whatever I
have decided to do; I shall do it at any cost. There should be a drirhanishchayata (certitude), to
have a strong will force, under any pressure not shifting away from the work he had decided to
do, extreme bravery, and to keep faith towards Dharma.
Green is the colour of harmony health and balance.The house depicts kindness, generosity and
compassion.The motto of this house is to bring compassion, kindness and generosity within
students. They aim to make students revitalize to develop healthy habits, harmonized and have
balance around during a crisis by remaining calm and take control of the situation until it is
resolved.
In the epic Mahabharata, Drona or Dronacharya is the royal guru to the Kauravas and the
Pandavas. He was a master of advanced military arts, including the devastras. Drona spent his
youth in poverty, but studied religion and military arts together with the then prince of
Panchala, Drupada.
Yellow is the colour of prosperity & success. The colour depicts to acquire knowledge. The
motto of the house is to inspire original thoughts and inquisitiveness of the young minds. This
will indeed help students to think big and achieve their goals.
Karna known as Danveer; donated his invincible armour to Indra, life of pandavas to Kunti and
his own life to his friend Duryodhana. He was honest to his friend Duryodhana even after
knowing the reality that Pandavas are his brothers.
Blue is the colour of ocean and sky. The house depicts the colour of calmness, spirituality and
stability. The motto of this house is to inspire students to be honest, trustworthy, truthful, and
sincere and be ready to acquire knowledge and wisdom.
Arjuna was one of the five Pandava brothers, who were the heroes of the Indian epic the
Mahabharata. Son of the god Indra, famous for his archery (he can shoot with either hand); one
of the main protagonists of the epic, the greatest fighter, archer, and third brother of
PandavasArjuna's life was a lesson in itself. He was attentive, dedicated and focused. He had
courage for Pursuing Passion.
Red is the colour of power, strength and determination. The house depicts the colour of
passion and strength. The motto of this house is to bring about courage and confidence within
students. They aim to assimilate confidence and courage which will really help them to deal
with real life situations.
